When it comes to health, the word that often comes to mind is balance. That’s probably my favorite principle when it comes to making positive changes. Some key ways to strive for balance include:
· Meals—a balanced plate including healthy, organic, unprocessed protein, carbs, fats, and lots of non-starchy vegetables—we need them all.
· Blood sugar—it helps to eat healthy, balanced meals/snacks at regular intervals.
· Lifestyle—a balance of work, relaxation, recreation, exercise, and sleep is ideal.
· Exercise—a balance of aerobics, interval training, strengthening, and stretching-- all are important, but any movement is a good thing!
Is there one action step from the above ideas that can help you begin to achieve more balance?
Speaking of implementation, that’s always the hard part isn’t it? How many times have we become so excited about something only to fizzle out quickly? It’s been shown that getting ongoing coaching, either privately or in a group setting, is one of the best ways to help with motivation and implementation.
